  • WELCOME!

Well hello there! I'm so glad that you decided to join me here! :) My name is Kristen and I'm one big ball of energy. I love my puppy Winston and my hubby David and we live in the Nashville, TN area.

I'm a big dreamer, and I love encouraging others to not just settle with an OK life but to seize opportunities and create an INCREDIBLE life. My biggest passion in my life is my Rodan + Fields business which keeps me busy sharing incredible stories with new people everyday! I also love photography, traveling, writing, blogging for Graciously Authentic, reading and being with my friends and family.

Some of my vices include: too much coffee, not enough sleep, too much facebook, technology and pinterest.

I hope you'll enjoy journeying with me, I'm glad you're here!

We’ve Moved!!

So we’ve done it. We’ve moved from a townhouse to a single-family home with a yard for Winston! There’s a lot I could say about our moving process, but I’ll just say this: we had WAY more stuff than I thought, we had WAY more stuff than the moving company thought we had… and then it RAINED. And we paid our movers by. the. hour. So that was fun (NOT!). And hectic, and totally out of control.

But finally we managed to get all of our stuff at least in our new house! (p.s. the awning is coming down, because NO I don’t want a Georgia bulldogs house…)

And Winston’s favorite part? The hardwood floors and his new back yard!!

Now that I feel a bit more settled in our new house I’m excited to share this journey with you! We’ve already painted walls, added new trim and changed out the door knobs – NO more brass!!:)

Have you moved recently? What has your experience been? Do you have any tips or tricks!?

Love What You Do

Do you LOVE what you’re doing for a living? Are you happy where you work? Are you worried about your job?

I’ll be honest, it’s taken me a while and a few tries with different things to find what I TRULY love to do. It keeps me up at night with my brain churning, it fires me up  and I am so passionate about it.

A few years ago I realized how much I love being an entrepreneur when I started my photography studio – you get to own your own business, make your own hours, be your own boss. You get to control your own destiny. Yet I realized over a few years that owning a photography studio wasn’t my lifelong passion, so when our dear friends told David and I about Rodan + Fields, David instantly knew. When he was growing up his family had been involved in direct sales and he definitely understood the opportunity of Rodan + Fields. He got it.

I, on the other hand, knew NOTHING about direct sales (other than a few of my friends did it) but what I did know is that if I was going to join a company there were several things that were important to me: the brand had to be credible and successful, there had to be no inventory and the company had to see technology as invaluable.

Credible and Successful. Doctors Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields were called a ‘Dermatological Dream Team’ by Women’s Health magazine because they are! They created the world’s #1 acne solution called Proactiv® and they are on target to create another billion dollar company with Rodan + Fields. I knew that I wanted to partner with the biggest names in skincare, and they get more unpaid press coverage than all other direct sales companies combined.

No inventory. One thing that definitely didn’t get me fired up was thinking about stocking product or going to the post office regularly, so making sure that I didn’t have to do those two things was really important to me. Rodan + Fields has setup our company and consultants for success. They make doing my job easy! A customer orders from my website and then they ship it directly to my customer’s door! I love that and my customers do too!

Technology. We live in a digitally connected world and I knew that I wanted a job that wouldn’t tie us down to a geographic location – one that I could build online wherever we lived. With Rodan + Fields I can do just that! Rodan + Fields has all the latest technology utilized so that we have business-building potential wherever we go! iPad apps for customers to see what the Doctors recommend for their skin concerns, iPhone apps to help me stay on top of my business, digital magalog for customer’s to flip through – there really isn’t anything that they haven’t thought of!

These are just a few of the many, many reasons I love Rodan + Fields and the social selling business model. I have finally found something that I’m passionate about – that I see myself doing now, when we have kids, in twenty years and for the rest of my life. I am so blessed to have found something that I can do AROUND my current lifestyle.

Are you satisfied with what you’re doing now? If not, I would love for you to contact me to learn how you can be on your way to working your dream job too!

www.kristensteele.com my new online home

If you know me even a little bit, you know that I like to blog… scratch that, I love to blog. Even if no one were to ever read these blog posts I am glad I will have taken the time to document my life.

Yes, I am quite a complex woman – a woman of many talents – or as I recently heard a “Jill of all trades.” I love that phrase. I am a wife, photographer, digital media geek, marketing guru, writer, doggy momma, encourager, apple enthusiast, wannabe sewing master, beach lover… but I love *Living Life to the Fullest* with my Rodan + Fields business.

All of these passions combined means that for a while I tried to have a million (ok not a million but more than 3) different blogs and that didn’t work to keep updated! So enter www.kristensteele.com – your one stop shop for all things about me. Here I’ll be sharing personal things, faith blogs, business thoughts, technology tips, skincare updates, business updates, photography, etc.

Yes, I will still update Graciously Authentic with pertinent faith-based blogs – but probably everything will show up here first. And Kristen Steele Photography’s blog hasn’t disappeared either (although I have dozens of blog posts to post!) so you can catchup with the latest photography business goodness there too.

But if you want to subscribe to KristenSteele.com to stay up to date, I’d love to have you join me and keep coming back!:)
